Description

After a long development stage, the Masamune finally hit the market in 1970, marking WVD's entry into the automobile world. Initially it was developed as the basis for a high performance vehicle to be used in various racing series but eventually it was decided that the car should become a grand tourer. The car boasts a very large 2954cc naturally aspirated inline-6 that produced 197 horsepower. The car itself weighed only 1136kg so as a result it became a rather fast vehicle for it's time. No other WVD car would have an engine with a displacement as high as the original Masamune's for several years after the end of it's production.
